Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s swear-in ceremony yesterday (November 24) was watched by many Malaysians who had their eyes glued to the screen. To many of them, it was not only a dream come true for the man himself to lead the country, but Malaysians themselves are also touched, and some teared up to finally see Anwar Ibrahim given the chance to become the PM.
However, some eagle-eyed netizens noticed something else during the ceremony. When Anwar was signing the documents, some Malaysians realised the pen that he used was a regular pen that we could simply purchase at any stationary store – the Artline 210 writing pen. It usually does not cost more than RM3.
Most of the time, no one would bat an eye at the pen that we use, but the pen that Anwar had in his hand gained the attention of many Malaysians. In a series of pictures of PM10 holding the pen shared by the Facebook page We Are Malaysians, netizens couldn’t contain their excitement and expressed interest in purchasing the pen.
Some netizens have also shared their experiences of using the very same pen in the past.
“It’s going to run out of stock by tomorrow.”
“I’m going ask my employees to change into this pen tomorrow”
Is Anwar the only PM who uses this pen?
As excited as some of us are about the writing pen, the Facebook page MyPenang Circles revealed that PM10 is not the only one who has been signing documents with Artline 210 Writing Pen. Previously, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin and Tun Dr. Mahathir used the very same pen to sign documents.
