Recently, 2 dead cats were found at a local university, in a mutilated state with their stomachs cut open and all 4 legs amputated. Many suspected that this was a case of animal abuse.
Now, the authorities are saying that the cats were victims of a stray dog attack, rather than victims of animal abuse by humans.
According to a report by Harian Metro, the Brickfields District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood shared that the police received a report regarding the 2 cats on Tuesday (December 17) at 6:20pm.
“An investigation was conducted and it was found that the death of the cats was caused by an attack by stray dogs in the area. The police report has been referred to the Veterinary Department and the management of Universiti Malaya for follow-up action,” he said.
However, many Malaysians do not believe this is true as they think the injuries to the cats are too clean to be caused by stray dogs.
“Wow, the dogs must be really smart to balance things out by cutting all 4 of the cats legs. Just because the dogs cannot defend themselves, they’re blaming the dogs.”
“Don’t lie! I am an animal lover, the pictures do not look like those of a cat that was bitten by a dog. I have 5 pictures of dead cats that were bitten by dogs. Not one was ‘bitten’ like this, in fact, where are the bite marks on the cats’ bodies?”
“Easy work. In the end, they just accuse dogs that cannot defend themselves. It’s smart. The real ‘dog’ that committed the crime escapes. Isn’t it great?”
“Lies. They just want to quickly close the case, right? All 4 of their legs were cut off. Dog bites are not like that lah. It’s an easy story, right? Just close the case like that?”
