We know a lot of us have a very rational fear of heights, so you can only imagine the fear this poor doggie was feeling!
In a report by The Star, a dog was spotted standing on a ledge, which was on the friggin’ 27th floor of a high-rise apartment building in Taman OUG, Kuala Lumpur.
Thankfully though, the Selangor Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) have received a report about this from a concerned resident living opposite the apartment in question.
The resident complained that this wasn’t the first time they’ve spotted the dog doing this.
SPCA chairman, Christine Chin, addressed this issue, stating,
“It is understood that the management of the condo issued a warning to the dog owner yesterday but the owner refused to stop.”
The SPCA will be filing a report with the Department of Veterinary Services soon, in hopes that the dog’s owner will be charged under the Animal Welfare Act.
This news surfaced shortly after two other incidences of animal abuse cases were in the spotlight these past few weeks. Earlier this month, Singaporean businessman Terry Yee was under fire for violently beating up a dog.
CCTV footage of the incident went viral, causing even his business to suffer from the severe backlash. A Facebook page was also set up for the dog, Furby.
Even more recently, a dog trainer was filmed kicking a dog at the recent Pet Fiesta Expo in Setia City Convention Centre.
We’d like to know what’s going on in these people’s heads, to be honest! How could they treat animals so horribly and with such irresponsibility?
