It is now the era of online classes and although it sounds very nice to learn from home, it is harder for both the students and the teachers/ lecturers as many other factors come into play.

Students may get very easily distracted by the things happening around them and this will in turn cause the teachers to have a hard time teaching. Other than that, some of them may face technical difficulties as they are not familiar with online teaching.

However, this teacher’s dedication shone through in a post that has gone viral in a Malaysian education Facebook group.

A woman by the name Rajes Pillay recounted her experience in a hospital on 1 December.

“I watched this teacher hold her online lesson in the hospital as she waited for a family member to see the doctor.”

Rajes then continues and says that as she was watching the teacher, she saw that her dedication and her focus to educate was unwavering even in a busy hospital corridor. Other than that, the teacher also explained her materials in both fluent Malay and English which marvelled Rajes.

Speaking to World of Buzz, Rajes told us that she later identified the teacher as Cikgu Puspa from the comments on the post. It is said that Cikgu Puspa is teaching Science in a cluster primary school in Kepong.

Thank you for being a responsible and dedicated educator Cikgu Puspa! The times may be hard right now but by having educators like you manning the frontlines, parents will be able to take a sigh of relief.
