Taking to social media, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) recently shared their latest raid, stopping illegal peddlers, led by foreigners, from selling goods near KLCC.

In their video, these makeshift stalls can be seen selling items such as corn-on-the-cob and drinks to public hotspots in the area.

“DBKL is currently carrying out operations against stubborn foreign sellers who peddle their goods nearby Jalan Ampang,” DBKL wrote in the post’s caption.

“Despite action taken against these sellers, they keep coming back due to the lure of tourists in the area.”

According to DBKL, this operation is not limited to only Jalan Ampang.

“DBKL will continue its efforts in several other hotspots, which includes, all 11 Parliaments within the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.”

Let’s hope the operations effectively stop illegal peddlers from making a quick buck.
