Dads Around the World Compete to Balance the Most Cheerios on Their Sleeping Babies
A new epidemic has taken the world by storm ladies and gentlemen, and it couldn’t have happened at a better time.
Coincidentally coinciding with Father’s Day, the Cheerio Challenge has gone viral.
Unlike the Ice Bucket Challenge, this mostly applies to fathers from all around the world who are willing to take up the simple and cute competition of who can stack the most cheerios on their sleeping baby’s head.
CNN reports it has all started when Patrick Quinn, father of 3-weeks old Maxton was sitting on the couch whilst the young boy slept on his lap. Quinn being in a position where he is unable to move, entertained himself by stacking cheerios on the baby’s head.
Amused by his success of five cheerios stacked neatly on the toddler’s head, Quinn sent out the challenge to other fathers, if any are able to beat his high score, and that was how the Cheerio Challenge has begun.
According to the Metro, Quinn has posted the challenge on his Instagram page, ‘Life of Dad’, prompting many to attempt the task.
Many were able to beat Quinn’s score of five cheerios and even had fun in being creative.
Some without children also took part with some compromise, stacking the cheerios on their own ‘babies’.
While some compromises… er may not qualify.
This competition has certainly brought many dads a lot of fun.
When the baby comes, gone are the days where they can enjoy a couple of drinks with the guys. Going out to enjoy an evening has become a rarity. But it sure is nice how they have found fun, even with a sleeping baby.
Kuddos to all the dads out there! And may you all enjoy a wonderful Father’s Day!
