Perhaps one of the biggest positive impacts that most of us have seen during this period of crisis with the Covid-19 outbreak is the fact that Mother Nature has ever so slowly begun to reclaim much of what we humans have taken away from her. Air qualities in some cities are improving, while animals are now popping out to enjoy the peace and quiet while we humans stay home.

Such is the case of a herd of over 122 Kashmiri goats, who recently took over the empty streets of a Welsh beachside town after most of its residents were forced to stay home over the Covid-19 outbreak. As reported by NPR and BBC News, the herd of mountain goats, who usually resided in a region called The Great Orme, has wandered into town after the streets cleared up.

What’s even cooler is the fact that all of the goats you see can trace their lineage back to Victorian times, when Queen Victoria herself gifted the first number of Kashmiri goats to landowner Lord Mostyn, according to The Guardian!

In videos and photos uploaded by locals, the cute, furry goats can be seen climbing onto stone fences, wandering about the streets, and eating flowers and shrubs. And the townspeople don’t seem to mind it at all, considering how these animals are giving them ‘free entertainment’ while they stay home!

While times may be bleak for us now, we can’t deny that staying indoors has definitely helped the planet heal in more ways than one!
