Coriander. Some people love them, some people just can not stand the sight of them.
However, no single human being would ever imagine to include coriander as an ingredient for bubble tea… or would they?
Well, behold: The Coriander Bubble Tea!
This drink first went viral around May when it’s introduced and sold in Taiwan. Currently, the haunting (or yummy?) image of the beverage still circulates around social media.
The bubble tea drink is made by having the inside of its glass first coated with peanut butter. It is then topped with taro balls and coriander powder. After dousing the final green liquid on the top-most part of the drink, more coriander leaves are put in for the final luscious green look.
Apparently, the drink is said to be inspired by a traditional Taiwanese snack
The dish which is often found in street markets is also known as an ice cream spring roll.
The spring roll is made with popiah skin, coated with crushed peanuts, topped off with coriander and two to three scoops of taro ice cream. The exact ingredients were used to replicate the Coriander bubble tea drink.
Well, I’m not sure about you, but I’m too afraid to try. Tag your coriander loving friends and see if they’re up for it!
