Anthony Loke didn’t seem too well today (July 10) in the Parliament.
This morning, the MPs in Parliament got a little anxious when the Ministry of Transport, Anthony Loke experienced shortness of breath when he was answering questions from a fellow MP.
The situation started to seem off a little when Anthony continuously cleared his throat before it was obvious that he had a tough time answering the questions smoothly. He was experiencing shortness of breath, and Anthony tried to remain calm by taking a few sips of water and rubbing his chest before continuing his statement.
However, that did not improve the situation. Anthony, who remained standing still had difficulty breathing and was politely (and calmly) told by the deputy minister of transport to take his seat and let him take over.
“Anthony, calm down, and take a rest first. Let me takeover.”
Another MP also told Anthony to “relax” and go for a checkup at the hospital.
Given Anthony’s unfit condition to give his speech, the Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, Alice Lau Kiong Yieng requested that the Deputy Minister of Transport, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah continue the session.
Not long after, Anthony got up and carried his duty again by answering the necessary questions.
“YB, please prioritise your health. It must be tiring to work and improve the country.”
“Hardworking and remembering the roots as a Minister are only applicable to Anthony Loke.”
“I wish him well. Only those who have experienced it would understand what is it like. I used to feel this at 4 AM. Had a drink and called the ambulance because I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t think straight.”
“My religion does not teach me to make enemies. We have an unwell minister here and people are celebrating it. Is it really necessary?”

We wish nothing but the best for Anthony Loke!
