Chinese Tourist Lost Her Life After Falling from 9th Floor of Kota Kinabalu Hotel onto Parked Car

A female tourist from China lost her life after reportedly falling from the 9th floor of a hotel at Jalan Haji Saman in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, yesterday morning (7 December).

The victim, who was from Beijing, is understood to have been on holiday with her husband in Kota Kinabalu.

A Chinese tourist lost her life after falling onto a parked car in Kota Kinabalu

The woman was found unconscious after falling onto a vehicle parked below the hotel building.

According to a report by Harian Metro, the Kota Kinabalu Deputy District Police Chief, Superintendent Syed Lot Syed Ab Rahman, shared that his department received information regarding the incident at about 7 AM.

Initial examinations confirmed that the victim, who was in her 30s, had passed away, and further investigations are being conducted to identify the exact cause of the incident.

“The victim’s body has been sent to the Queen Elizabeth I Hospital (HQEI) for further action. Currently, the case is classified as a sudden death (SDR),” he added.
