Imagine finding an animal’s natural habitat hiding right in your pants! That’s what happened to this one university student from China recently.
In a report by the Shanghaiist, a university student from Wuhan, China left his pants outside for two weeks.
The student from Wuhan University of Science and Technology’s School of Automotive Engineering mentioned that he usually just throws his clothes on his balcony after coming home from the gym and does his laundry at the end of the week.
However, he skipped a weekend of laundry, making his dumped clothes the ideal habitat for a bird to build a nest.
He got a shock when he collected his clothes from the balcony the following weekend, as he saw a perfectly built bird’s nest in the netting of his pants!
This story quickly spread around campus. Surprisingly, many students felt sad for the birds who built the nest, saying that they were now homeless since the pants have now been washed.
Students on campus are now encouraging their classmates to leave their clothes out on their balconies to encourage birds to build homes in their clothes and help them out.
Hey, at least now he can ask if a girl would love to check out the bird in his pants. Amirite?
