“We need that 1Malaysia spirit” – Chinese Manager Surprises Malay Staff With Lion Dance for Birthday

In a recent heartwarming video shared by @alvinlee0518, the spotlight is on a manager going the extra mile to celebrate a staff member’s birthday in a unique way.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the manager disclosed that the celebration took place in Kedah. He expressed that this gesture was his way of extending gratitude to his hardworking staff.

“I appreciate all my staff for their consistent hard work. As a Chinese manager leading an all-Malay team, we’re ultimately all Malaysians. We need that 1Malaysia spirit.”

The manager’s plan involved surprising the staff with a lively lion dance and a specially printed banner. With the help of his supervisor, arrangements were made, and the entire team gathered for a meal to celebrate the staff’s birthday.

He also shared that the inspiration behind the idea is so that staff would feel a sense of belonging, despite differences in race, making them feel like one big family.

Netizens quickly showed love and support, appreciating the manager’s thoughtful approach.
