People today need to exercise caution when going out and about, especially at street intersections and while on the road, to avoid falling victim to crimes of opportunity.

Generally we are all advised to avoid using handphones when walking along busy roads, but now based on this video, the advice should be extended to those who have the tendency to leave windows open while driving.

Shared on Instagram, a motorcyclist can be seen tailing a blue Axia on a busy road. After weighing his options for quite some time, the thief took the opportunity and made away with his victim’s handphone.

In the status, the netizen writes, “Let’s be a little more careful with our belongings. Make sure we always put our windows up, and roll them down when necessary.”

Sure, it is a big no-no to text and drive, but for the sake of avoiding snatch theft while driving, why don’t we just make it a habit to put the phone away while driving.

We hope that the culprit will be apprehended by the authorities soon. We know times are tough, but it is no excuse for any of us to take things that do not belong to us.
