A car wash employee was seriously injured after the customer’s vehicle he was driving crashed into a wall before plunging from the 3rd floor parking lot of a serviced apartment in Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday (June 15).
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, shared that the incident occurred at about 5:38pm, involving a Toyota Camry and a 23-year-old Afghan man.

“Initial investigations found that the man, who works as a car washer, is believed to have lost control when he was trying to park a customer’s vehicle after it was washed,”
“He is believed to have mistakenly pressed the gas pedal, causing the vehicle to hit a wall and fall from the 3rd floor before hitting 2 other vehicles, a Proton Iriz and a Perodua Myvi, parked below the building,” he said.

The owners of the 2 vehicles parked below the building were not in their cars when the incident happened.
The car washer suffered serious injuries from the accident and has since been taken to the University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) red zone for further treatment.
This case is now being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
