Following the bus accidents that have occurred throughout Malaysia, including one that left 15 students dead, many have started becoming more cautious around buses on highways.

The Himpunan Cerita Lawak Facebook page shared a video on June 12 showcasing a recording of a bus being driven dangerously, with the bus driver even showing the middle finger to other road users.

Himpunan Cerita Lawak wrote, “The way this bus is being driven is so dangerous.”

In the video, the bus driver could be seen speeding in the emergency lane before merging into the left lane of the highway.

The bus driver, who had his hand out of the driver’s window, then showed the middle finger before dangerously merging into the right lane forcefully. Even after merging into the right lane, the driver maintained his display of the middle finger out of his window.

As of the time of writing, the video has garnered over 20,000 likes and 5,500 shares.

Prevention is better than cure

Many have since expressed their worry that the bus driver could cause an accident, which has currently become a common occurrence on Malaysian roads.

“When an accident happens, (he’ll say) the brakes are not functioning lah, it was a blindspot lah, technical problems lah. As long as there are ways to deflect, he’ll deflect.”

“The Ministry of Transport (MOT) and the Road Transport Department (JPJ) have to revoke this driver’s license before people die.”

“The signs of a driver who will risk the lives of the passengers. I hope that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Road Transport Department (JPJ) will take action before lives are lost.”

“It seems that it’s the season where bus (drivers) and lorry (drivers) cause problems. As long as the law isn’t strict, these drivers will do as they please.”
