Some car accessories can be expensive to fix and it can be heart-wrenching to fork out the money, especially when the damage is someone else’s handiwork.

In a viral Facebook post by Aeenz Mohd Ghazali, the Malaysian woman shared her frustration after her car key was allegedly damaged by the workers at a carwash center in JB. Aeenz left her car there with the key still in the ignition, only for her to be “welcomed” with major damage to the car key.

“Shattered to pieces”

Aeenz returned to the center an hour later, and she knew her car was ready because the engine had been turned on. She drove away before she knew about the damage, and when she reached her destination which was near the carwash center, her car key shattered to pieces when she turned off her engine.

“The chip and the battery were detached from the key casing.”

Aeenz called her husband, Farid, and informed him about the damage before the pair approached the owner of the car wash center. Unfortunately, their return was not welcomed, and the owner said no one turned on the engine.

“You have left the shop with your car, so it’s not my responsibilities anymore,” the owner allegedly told Aeenz.

The pair was not happy with the response, with Aeenz saying, “Am I that stupid to damage my car key?”

Aeenz also said that she expected at least an apology but unfortunately, all she ever got from the owner was nothing but merely criticisms, and the pair was asked to leave the shop immediately.

In the viral video, the owner was seen arguing with Aeenz while trying to explain the situation to other customers at the scene.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Aeenz said the key cost her RM450 to fix, and with the price she paid for the car wash and wax (RM125), the total damage was RM575.

“It’s really not about the money. I just want an apology from him but to this day (January 16), he has yet to say sorry,” Aeenz told WORLD OF BUZZ.

The incident took place on Sunday (January 14) and on the same night, Aeenz lodged a police report regarding the matter.

How will you handle the situation if you find yourself experiencing the same thing?
