During the tabling of the Budget 2026 today (10 October), Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirmed that the LRT3 is expected to begin operations by the end of 2025.
It will connect Bandar Utama, Damansara, to Johan Setia, Klang, and will be capable of carrying over 6,200 passengers per hour in each direction.

ECRL Phase 1 is expected to be completed by the end of 2026
Meanwhile, the ETS (Electric Train Service) began operations to Kluang Station in August, while the final phase to Johor Bahru Sentral is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
ECRL Phase 1 (Kota BharuāGombak) is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. This will reduce travel time between Kelantan and the Klang Valley to 4 hours.
On the other hand, the Electrified Double Track Railway Upgrade in the Klang Valley (Phase 2) is expected to be fully completed by 2029. It will connect Bandar Tasik Selatan to Seremban, and Simpang Pelabuhan Klang to Port Klang, at a construction cost of RM4.1 billion.
The efficiency of the Kelana Jaya LRT Line will be enhanced through the replacement of 26 new train units, for RM1 billion, by Prasarana.
