Anwar announced that a total of RM20 million will be allocated to battle scam syndicates. Last year, the National Scam Response Centre (NRSC) handled more than 49,000 calls and managed to freeze up to RM60 million worth of transactions.

The budget allocation is also expected to increase NRSC’s effectiveness in battling scam syndicates.
