BORDERS Malaysia To Cease Operations On 31 August

Do you remember the last time you physically held and read a book?

With the prevalence of digital devices nowadays, more are more people are turning to e-books instead of reading actual books. BORDERS Malaysia, the bookstore that has been operated for more than 10 years have also announced its closure.

Borders Malaysia will cease operations in Malaysia on 31 August, and its Bangsar Village II outlet will close after 31 July.

“We are truly grateful for the trust and loyalty you have shown us and we would not have been able to come this far without you,” the management of Berjaya Books Sdn Bhd, which operates BordersĀ  Malaysia thanked loyal customers who have supported BORDERS Malaysia over the years, as reported by FMT.

“Although our journey is coming to an end, our commitment to our customers remains unchanged. We will ensure that you receive the best customer service until the very end,” it said in a notice at the Bangsar Village 2 Borders outlet.

While BORDERS Malaysia’s official website states that its online stores have closed down since 31 May, its official Facebook page is still operating. Currently, BORDERS Malaysia is having a mega sale at its Quill City Mall, Bangsar Village II, Gleneagles Hospital KL, and Pantai Hospital KL outlets.
