As our Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin recently announced, the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be coming to an end and the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) will officially take effect from the 9th of June up until the 31st of August.

This means that we’re in the final stages of stabilising and eradicating the Covid-19 virus from our shores. This also means that the tasks of certain frontliners are officially coming to an end.

The We Are Malaysians Facebook page took to their profile page to give thanks to police officers, army personnel and other frontliners who have risked their lives to work under severe conditions in order to protect the general public from the Covid-19 virus.

Jutaan Terima kasih kepada semua frontliner KKM,PDRM,ATM DAN RELA yg bertugas siang, malam berhujan dan berpanas menjaga…

They wrote, “A million thank yous to all the frontliners from KKM, PDRM, ATM and RELA who worked through day and night, rain or shine to take care of us through roadblocks all over Malaysia during the MCO and CMCO.”

These frontliners had to not only work through terrible weather conditions such as heavy rains, thunder storms and intense heat while manning roadblocks throughout our country to help prevent the Covid-19 from spreading through our many states, but they also had to sacrifice seeing their family and loved ones and risked coming in contact with Covid-19 patients.

While the rest of us were staying rather comfortably at home, they’ve had to break their fasts, eat and rest where they worked as they worried about their own health safety while also worrying for ours.

Though not all of their jobs are done as medical personnel and cleaners will still be hard at work as the RMCO comes into play, it’s still only fair that we show our appreciation for all the hard work, time, blood, sweat and tears that has gone into flat-lining the number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia.

Cmco 7

Thank you, frontliners! We truly would not have been able to get this far ahead of the Covid-19 outbreak without you.

But the battle is not completely over yet so let’s do our level best at cooperating with our authorities and frontliners to prevent any further outbreaks of the virus.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section.
