Wearing a mask is now a part of the new norm but somehow we always forget to do it and certain times, we get lazy and do it half-assedly.

The thing is, wearing a mask correctly definitely gives some of us discomfort but it’s a small price to pay if we were to compare it to contracting Covid-19 or paying a hefty fine!

In order to not get the ‘rona’, here are some ways to NOT wear a mask, as according to the Ministry of Health in one of their Facebook posts.

All of the above here are not ways to wear the mask as it doesn’t cover the face and nose fully.

Don’t wear a face mask that is loose and also, don’t keep taking it out and putting it on again as the chances of you transferring the germs/virus from the front of the mask to the face is quite high. Also, don’t put the mask at your chin/neck!

The right way to wear a mask is to make sure that the upper edge fits snugly on your nose and the lower edge is under your chin. It should fit snugly and there should be no gaps between the mask and your face. After you take off your mask at the end of the day, you should always remember to wash your hands.

All Malaysians should always remember to follow through with the set SOPs and to practice social distancing. By wearing a mask correctly, you would still be able to protect yourself in a crowded place.

The numbers are now back to the double digits and this is very alarming. We have already spent three months in the Movement Control Order and if we continue on living like Covid-19 is gone, the efforts will be undone.
