He wrote, “It feels very burdensome when you have a big house. In the past, when the house was being built, I didn’t think much of it and was just having fun. I didn’t think about maintenance.”

“But only after the house was completed and I’ve stayed in it did I realise that the cost of owning a big house is not simple, especially when it comes to maintenance.”

Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri shares his advice

He went on to explain that he had to fork out a large amount of money for repairs just after a year of living in the house and urged people to think twice before deciding to buy a big house.

“In just one year, I had to allocate hundreds of thousands to repair the house, especially when the house is getting old. It’s become a headache,”

“So, to you, I would like to advise that, before you decide to move into a big house, please be prepared for the maintenance costs. The bigger the house, the higher the costs. Especially when the house starts getting old and there are many damages,” he added.
