Following her termination from Auntie Anne’s Malaysia, Alice Chang began her job hunt. It didn’t take her long to find her next spot, but things did not go as she had expected.

In a Facebook post, Adeline Chang claimed that her sister worked for half a day at an ice cream parlor chain in Pavilion KL—Cold Stone Creamery Malaysia. According to Adeline, the outlet’s supervisor refused to compensate Alice for her labor.

“I can consider it as a charity to the company, but I can’t believe they want to scam the half day pay of my sister.”

In her post, Adeline also praised her sister for following the SOPs and maintaining the hygiene, saying,

“Whoever got to buy from Alice today was lucky.”

Alice hid her identity

Following the circulation of the post, Cold Stone Creamery Malaysia immediately issued a press release late last night (October 12) denying all allegations made by Adeline and assuring Malaysians that neither Alice nor Adeline had access to the food.

“Alice Chang came wanting to be a part-timer, hiding her identity. We did not hire her and she did not have access to the food.”

However, Cold Stone Creamery Malaysia thoroughly cleaned the outlet as part of its proactive measures.
