Good news! Our water troubles will soon come to an end because the upgrading works at Sungai Selangor Phase 2 Water Treatment Plant have been completed as of 11 pm yesterday (24 April 2019).
The Malay Mail reports that Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said in a statement that the plant will be reactivated following the completion. So, the treated water will be distributed to the main reservoirs and the main distribution system before water is restored to the customers.
That said, the process of water access restoration will take about 24 hours. In their statement, Syabas was quoted as saying,
“The supply recovery will vary from one area to another depending on the geographical location and altitude of customers’ premises.”
