Air Selangor has confirmed that one of their employees at the Kuala Langat regional office tested positive for Covid-19 and will be closing the premises temporarily until further notice.

According to Bernama, the employee who mans the counters had been quarantined since 22 October and was confirmed positive at 4.30pm on 27 October.

“As such, the Kuala Langat regional office will be closed temporarily until further notice. Air Selangor is working closely with the Health Ministry to ensure action to prevent the spread of the virus is implemented immediately,” they said in a statement.

“Alternatively, customers can go to the Sepang Region Customer Service Counter or any counter nearby. For bill payment, customers are encouraged to use the online banking platform using JOMPAY.”

Air Selangor has since taken measures to reduce the risk of infection, such as contact tracing of any employees and visitors who dealt directly with the infected employee from 19 to 22 October as well as conducting full sanitisation of the office.

“The Kuala Langat regional office was fully sanitised at 5.30 pm today and the latest information will be announced through official Air Selangor communication channels,” the statement added.
