Malaysians in Pahang, Johor, Kelantan, and Terengganu have been braving through devastating floods that have turned their lives upside down. They have been dealing with the loss of lives and property all while guarding themselves against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our Agong has proven time and time again that he’s truly the people’s King. True enough, Istana Negara posted on their Facebook today about how the Agong himself is driving across the floods on the East-Coast Highway (LPT).

“Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong are making a surprise visit to Maran district, Pahang to donate to flood victims at temporary evacuation centers around Maran.”

Malaysians in the comment section praised the Agong for his timely actions and his concern for the rakyat.

“Alhamdulilah, I’m so grateful that we have an Agong like this who’s so concerned about the people. Hope Allah SWT always blesses you Tuanku.”

“Alhamdulilah, thank you, Tuanku. Politicians should be ashamed now as they’re still fighting for positions at a time when the people are in distress. May Allah bless you.”

Over on Instagram, Raja Permaisuri Agong advised Malaysians to be careful when they’re driving on flooded roads as the current is quite strong.

She also thanked the police and military force for guarding their safety at all times.
