Children are truly the salt and light of the earth. They are appreciative with what they have and find happiness in the smallest of things.

One little girl melted the hearts of netizens everywhere after she was showcased happily clapping, singing along and genuinely enjoying herself despite the fact that her underprivileged family could only afford three bananas as her birthday cake.

Warung Jurnalis took to their Instagram page to showcase the bittersweet video with a message from one of her parents.

The message read, “Admin, I ask for prayers for my three-year-old child. It’s her birthday. I’m not working anymore.”

“Admin invites everyone to wish and pray for this little sister to have a happy birthday, always be healthy and that her parents can get a job soon. Happy birthday, little one,” the admin added. The exact location in which the incident took place has not been made available at the time of writing.

In the video, the little girl can be seen singing and clapping along as her parents sing to her, before blowing out the candle placed between the three bananas with a smile on her face that could light up the whole world.

While her parents struggle through the pandemic, they must truly be proud to have a daughter that appreciates their efforts to celebrate her birthday.

We genuinely hope that her parents manage to find employment so that they can continue to care, love and provide for their family.
