Pets are not just animals. They are part of the family. When a pet is treated badly, it reflects on how the person really is. Unfortunately, there are cases out there where these poor animals have to endure cruelty from someone who they thought would be their saviour.

A concerned animal lover, Sharina Ali, took to Facebook to share her experience dealing with a cruel pet owner within her community. In her post, Sharina mentioned that she and three other members of the community decided to confront the owner with the presence of a police officer. She wrote,

“Went over to talk to them this morning with an officer present and ask them to improve on the living conditions of these poor puppies. We were met with a thug. He was spewing vulgarities, racial slurs, accosted three other neighbors, drove recklessly and threatened to run over a neighbor, pulled down his shorts to show us his pathetic looking bum.”

The man also bragged about how he owns a lot of businesses and had no time for the dogs but said that the neighbours should not be nosey with how he treats them. He went on claiming that he is protected by a certain Dato’ so they better watch out. Most importantly at this moment, the poor puppies need to urgently be saved. Hence Sharina mentioned that she has already made a police report, a complaint to Jabatan Haiwan and she will go to the local city council for help soon.
