Hong Kong was hit by a severe flash flood after continuous rain last week, making it the worst disaster to hit the country in the last 140 years.

The flood has affected many areas and trapped many people in their cars, with the entrance of many buildings also inaccessible when the areas were submerged. Just recently, Hong Kong media reported detailed news about the flood conditions in Hong Kong by highlighting the rescue work by the authorities, as well as how the people were coping.

However, a particular footage gained the attention of netizens. Ladies, how would you react if you were to be rescued by a muscular and good-looking Abang Bomba? A woman in HK recently got excited when a firefighter rescued her from a flood, and she put on her sweetest smile when she was rescued from her car which was trapped in the flood.

When 1 of the firefighters came to her rescue, the woman smiled happily wrapped her arms around the firefighter’s neck, and clung her feet around his waist.

Well, not all heroes wear capes. Some come in red uniforms and yellow safety hats with an axe (not in a creepy way, of course). She might be happy to be able to hug an Abang Bomba but in the meantime, she also felt a huge relief for being rescued from the disaster.

Happiness in a disaster

In the meantime, some Hong Kong netizens have reacted hilariously to the situation, mostly by pointing out how happy the woman looks during a disaster.

“The woman looks happier than the firefighter himself.”

“Both the firefighter and the woman look happy.”

You can watch the rescue part in the video below at the 3:25 mark.

At the time of writing (September 12), the roads in the city are gradually reopened to the public who have returned to work, but they are still experiencing the aftermath. We hope the country will recover from the disaster soon.
