Burger & Lobster made its way into Malaysia back in 2017, when its first outlet opened to the public at Sky Avenue, Resorts World Genting.

If you’re a fan of the London-born dining hotspot, you can save yourself the trip to Genting Highlands as the 2nd outlet of Burger & Lobster in Malaysia is set to open its door this Saturday (October 1) at Suria KLCC!

WORLD OF BUZZ had the luxury of dining in at the place with fellow media partners during the outlet’s media launch on Wednesday (September 28). A total of 6 dishes were served and words couldn’t describe how delicious the food was!

However, before we could feast on the food, we were treated to a “surprise”. The chef took the opportunity and shared some insights with fellow media partners on the right way to de-shell the lobster so that we could enjoy the “main star” properly.

After the sharing session, we were immediately served the first main meal which was Burger & Lobster’s The Classic Cheeseburger (RM48).

It comes with a juicy beef patty served on their homemade sesame seed brioche bun with signature burger sauce, iceberg lettuce and cheddar cheese.

Next, we tried their The Original Lobster Roll (RM130). The chilled lobster meat is dressed in lemon mayo and served in their signature brioche roll with a garnish of chives and their signature lemon and garlic butter.

This was one of our favourites! The signature brioche roll was super soft and warm which paired perfectly with the chilled lobster meat.

Aside from the Original Lobster Roll, we also got the chance to try out their Chicken Caesar Roll (RM38), which consists of a signature brioche roll with a creamy caesar dressing, salad and crispy chicken.

The 4th dish was the main star itself, The Original Lobster (RM220), which was a wild-caught Canadian lobster served grilled, steamed, or half and half with the signature lemon and garlic butter.

We got the half and half and the lobster tasted extremely fresh and delicious. Pairing it with their garlic butter takes your tastebuds to another world.

The 5th dish was the Lobster Laksa (RM90). We were told that this item is available EXCLUSIVELY at the KLCC’s outlet. The Canadian lobster is braised in an aromatic coconut broth and topped with regional herbs, laksa noodles and assorted vegetables.

We really loved the unique combination of lobster and the coconut broth which made an extra creamy broth!

There’s always room for dessert, and last but not least, the dining experience was capped off with a sweet ending.

We were served the Pistachio Tres Leches (RM40), a caramel sponge soaked in rich pistachio milk, topped with vanilla whipped cream, pistachio crumbles and raspberries.

The caramel sponge eaten with the rich pistachio milk balanced out well as the flavours paired well hand in hand.

The space

The luxurious, 4,500-square feet restaurant is designed by award-winning interior design consultancy, Rocket Studio Pte Ltd. and features rich red shades, bold marbles and handmade tiles along its live lobster tanks.

The restaurant comfortably caters to up to 100 customers indoors and outdoors, along with an expansive dining terrace that offers stunning views of Symphony Lake and KLCC Park.

All the live lobsters are air flown in from Nova Scotia, Canada, and the prime-cut beef comes all the way from cattle ranchers in Nebraska.

Burger & Lobster Suria KLCC will be the 1st location established under Burger & Lobster’s partnership with Aquablu Technologies, whilst further openings are being planned for Indonesia and Vietnam.

All we can say is that you should definitely visit the place for a try, especially if you have never been to its 1st outlet in Genting Highlands.

The food was delicious and the servers were attentive, and it will definitely be an unforgettable experience!
