The viral “fighters” in Penang finally reconciled and made peace with each other under the suggestion of PDRM, and it’s a happily ever after for them. Who knew the viral fight in the Penang convenience store would bring unexpected fame to the men?

While the store owner is known for his black belt in Taekwondo and is a cat lover, the white singlet customer was recently spotted marketing for a local product known for its grilled lamb. An image of the Ahne initially circulated on Facebook, where the man is seen paying attention to his mobile phone, with the product logo at the back.

Social media users quickly pointed out that he had been summoned for a marketing gimmick. And he was not the only one.

Previously, many other celebrities and former politician, Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ) also participated in marketing events for the product.

Just recently, on its Instagram page, the local product shared a marketing video for its Raya Haji promotion featuring you-know-who. The viral Ahne from the convenience store’s 1-on-1.

He is seen enquiring about the prices of the frozen grilled lamb before purchasing 2 sets of the food.

The video was originally posted on the business’ TikTok page but has since been removed. However, the clip is now circulating on social media, including in an X post by @Cikgu_Anep, which you can watch here.

What do you think of using a viral figure as a marketing promo?
