Highlights of LZJ’s recent achievement at the 2024 Olympics!
Malaysia’s men’s singles shuttler, Zii Jia, won the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics after a tight match against India’s Lakshya Sen. He bounced back from a first-round loss (13-21) to clinch victory in rounds 2 and 3 with scores of 21-16 and 21-11, respectively, on August 5.
After the match, Malaysian badminton legend Dato Lee Chong Wei congratulated Zii Jia, saying he truly deserved the win and acknowledging the tough journey he’s been on since leaving BAM 3 years ago.
While the world celebrated his victory, Zii Jia revealed he was dealing with a lot of suppressed emotions, which he shared during an emotional interview after his win.
Watching our athletes give their all during the games has been an emotional roller coaster, but we’ve never been prouder of their victories!
