If you have a budget of RM400, what would you spend on?

A Malaysian man recently decided to spend that amount on a BIG PLATE of Nasi Kandar in Penang. In a viral Facebook post by Nasi Kandar Sulaiman, the Penangite broke the record by spending the most for a hot, fresh plate of Nasi Kandar, beating the previous RM372 record.

In case you’re wondering what was on his plate that could reach that price, here’s what the man filled his plate with, according to the receipt shared by the restaurant.

  • 3 portions of white rice
  • 10 Squids
  • 29 Prawns
  • 4 slices of fish
  • 2 chickens
  • 1 salted egg
  • Ladies finger
  • 2 large fish heads

Yes, the man finished the meal on his own

However, the length of time it took him to finish the heavy meal was not revealed. The man also revealed that his friend, who also happened to treat him to the meal, encouraged him to break the record.

“He’s the first person to hit RM400. You can tell from his size that he can eat a lot,” Nasi Kandar Sulaiman wrote on the post.

Rm400 is now the highest record. Do you think it will leap to RM500, or possibly more soon? What do you think of the gigantic plate of Nasi Kandar?
