Nothing can take away true love. Not an interfering 3rd party or a home wrecker, and not even a natural disaster.

A couple in the Philippines recently proved that despite the consequences of a disastrous typhoon, they brace through the ankle-high floodwater in the church during their wedding day, dressed neatly in their wedding outfit.

It may be uncomfortable but the wedding must go on.

The bride is seen carrying a large bouquet of flowers and she received some help while walking up to the altar. The church was flooded but despite the circumstances, all eyes were on the bride who carried on with their wedding after Typhoon Doksuri.

Another video was shared by Maria Jasmine, the cousin of the bride via her Facebook account. In an interview with Independent, the bride, Dianne said that they pushed through with the wedding ceremony, regardless of the condition.

Dianne also made it clear that she did not take it personally if some people who were invited decided to skip the highlight of her life due to the circumstances.

“It didn’t matter if the guests refused to come because of the situation. What’s important is that we wanted to be married, that the two of us were there, and that our families were with us.”

Typhoon Doksuri, also known as Super Typhoon Egay in the Philippines struck the country on July 19, which caused the death of at least 8 people. According to a report by Al Jazeera, the typhoon came with strong wind and heavy rainfall, before the disaster found its way to China after the Philippines.

You can watch the clips of the wedding below.

If it’s meant to be, it will be. We’re glad to know that some people were still happy to attend the wedding, and we wish the newlyweds nothing but a happy life! <3
