As a kid, the Milo trucks that appeared within the compound of our schools were possibly 1 of the fondest memories that we will never forget. It wasn’t just about getting a free drink that tasted magically different than the ones at home but also how we could escape the classroom for a bit and mingle with our friends.

Unfortunately, as adults, we don’t have Milo trucks waiting for us down at the office. If we’re lucky, some wedding ceremonies provide the Malaysian comfort drinks for the guests. A Malaysian woman, Syafika recently got more than what everyone expected during a wedding. In her viral TikTok clip, Syafika revealed a surprise that the newlyweds had in store for the guests – a Starbucks truck!

In the 17-second clip, some baristas in the truck were seen occupied with taking orders from the guests while others did their best in preparing the drinks so the guests could enjoy their beverages. The newlyweds, both dressed in white also took the opportunity to pass the drinks to the respective guests.

Guests were also given coupons to redeem their drinks.

If Milo truck is a dream come true for our inner child, we guess a Starbuck truck is a sweet dream we never knew we wanted as adults.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Syafika said that it was her friend’s wedding which took place at Daza Villa in Klang. Now, with all the guests getting free Starbucks for the day, you might wonder how much was spent on the Starbucks truck, and it’s possibly more (or lesser) than you expected.

“The bride told me that around RM14,000 was spent on the Starbucks truck.”

Syafika also confirmed that there was a long queue at the truck. Well, it’s something you can get everywhere but getting it for free at a wedding hits differently, right?

With the Starbucks truck being the centre of attraction, does this mean no traditional kuihs and drinks were available? We can tell you the newlyweds did not ditch the traditional parts and made sure the food was catered to everyone’s need. Syafika told WORLD OF BUZZ that regular wedding drinks like syrup was also available.

“They had normal catering for the guests. We also had extra booths that provided Apam Balik, Kuey Teow, ice cream, and Keropok Lekor.”
