As reported by CNA, the budget airline will be rewarding eligible employees with a performance bonus of 4.76 months, as well as ex-gratia bonus of up to 1.5 months.

Specifically, the 1.5 months of ex-gratia bonus is made up of 0.5 months of ex-gratia bonus for each of the last 3 financial years; encompassing the period where Scoot and others in the airline struggled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Scoot said that this record annual performance bonus is in accordance with the SIA Group’s record profits in FY2022/23.

The low-cost airline asserted that the bumper bonus was in recognition of its staff’s “dedication, hard work and sacrifices, as well as the success of the group’s 3-year transformation programme that has “enhanced the competitiveness and strengthened its foundations for the future”.
