Children often have an amazing ability to find joy and value in even the smallest gestures. Give them the simplest things, and they’ll still manage to appreciate them wholeheartedly.

In a touching video shared by @kaklawani, she captures the moment her 9-year-old son receives a birthday present from her and her husband.

He received a ball as a birthday gift

In the video, the boy excitedly unwraps his gift to find a ball inside. Overwhelmed with gratitude, he starts tearing up, truly appreciating the thoughtful gesture.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Awani (the mother) revealed that she decided to give her son a ball as a birthday present because he had specifically asked for one.

The caption of the post reads,

“He looks so happy. Thank you, son, for always helping me and your dad. We apologise if we ever did you wrong, and I pray that I continue to be by your side through it all. I’m not asking for much; it’s already enough that you continue to be a good son to us.”

“This is an expensive ball”

Awani explained that initially, her husband suggested their son choose a different ball, telling him it was too pricey. However, her son insisted he didn’t mind any ball.

“My husband deliberately suggested a different ball to surprise him with the one he’d been longing for on his birthday.”

She mentioned she started recording to capture her son’s reaction to the present. She was surprised and deeply moved by his emotional response, not expecting him to be so overwhelmed.

In the video, the boy can be heard repeatedly mentioning how the ball is expensive while he cries and hugs his dad.

“From this video, we can learn that happiness doesn’t come from wealth, but from appreciating sacrifices and being grateful for what we already have. Happiness isn’t something you can buy; if it were, everyone would be rich in happiness.”
