He sustained head injuries after his hair was yanked forcefully

Hulu Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Ibrahim Husin, said the boy was pinched on the leg, hit with hands, and even suffered head injuries after his hair was pulled.

He said the boy’s mother lodged a police report at 7:17 PM after picking him up from her former mother-in-law’s house.

“The boy’s condition is stable with no serious injuries. The incident is believed to have happened because the grandmother suspected him of stealing her money,” he explained.

Two female suspects were arrested

Ibrahim added that based on the information, police arrested two local women, aged 35 and 71, who are the complainant’s former sister-in-law and former mother-in-law.

He noted that checks revealed that both suspects had no prior criminal records, and their urine tests came back negative.

“Both suspects have had their statements recorded to assist in the investigation under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 before being released on police bail,” he added.
