7yo Girl Dies After Falling From 29th Floor Window of Babysitter’s Condo in Puchong

A 7-year-old girl has died from falling from the 29th floor of a condominium in Taman Pinggiran Prima, Puchong, on Tuesday (May 20).

According to a report by Kosmo, the Subang Jaya Deputy Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd. Fairus Jaafar, shared that his department received an emergency call about this situation at around 12:30pm.

He said that initial investigations found that the incident occurred at the girl’s babysitter’s house, where the victim was believed to have been near the window before falling.

“There is a chair by the window. The victim is suspected of falling while standing (on the chair) and looking outside. The child was found lying on her back on the 5th floor of the building, and was confirmed dead by medical officers at the scene,” he explained.

So far, no criminal elements have been identified, and the case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Children’s Act.

“The babysitter’s statement has been recorded to assist in the investigation. The investigation papers will be completed as soon as possible and will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further instructions,” he added.
