Smartphone is now a part of our lives. They are that trusty sidekick that would never fail us, and has always been there for us when we needed something – Googling for something you don’t know, become a language translator, updating us with the latest news, and so much more.

So yeah, smartphone is definitely more than just a communication device. It’s no surprise how we form a relationship with them. And like any relationships, here are the many types we’ve personally experienced, or seen:

1. Lovers

These group of smartphone owners cherish every moment together with their oh so precious device – when they sleep, when they go about their daily lives, heck even caressing them while they’re in the toilet!

Every second apart from their ‘lover’ is torture to them. You’ll hardly see them ever being separated.

2. Abusive

The abusive one usually garners attention by how selamba they treat their phone. I’m sure we all have that one friend that constantly drops his/her phone and just brushes it off.

Most of the time you’re just amazed at how their phone could even survive all that torture.

Or maybe their smartphones have that amazing Gorilla Glass 4 screen, which the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge comes equipped with, allowing them to withstand drops on rough surfaces.

3. The taken for granted

With smartphones being so reliable, these owners tend to take their beloved for granted. Whether it’s forgetting that they’re inside pockets, to holding them with their butter fingers, they’ve left significant marks on their phone, not to mention the occasional yet disastrous dropping them in water by accident which you pray that the phone still lives after that!

At least Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge’s dust and water resistant (IP68) technology keeps your phone alive through that momentary suspense when it’s splashed, or worse, submerged in water!

4. Barbie-doll

You know the owners who change their phone covers more times than a baby with their diapers? From minimalist designs to outrageous patterns, these owners would do just about anything to dress their baby up.

It’s no surprise if you find their baby dressed in a different case every day.

5. Flings

Similar to ONS (one-night stands), these phone users swap phones often – usually to the latest models. “Out with the old, in with the new” is practically their motto.

They wouldn’t be able to stand one year without changing their phone at least once, usually to the latest flagship models. Especially one with a spectacular colour. Like, how could you not be excited by a colour that goes by the name, ‘Blue Coral’??? It’s one of the new colour choices you can find from Galaxy S7 edge. Hear already feel like buying leh?

6. Old couple

A true testament to loyalty, these phone owners get very attached to their phone to the point you’ll be asking, “So old already, still working ah?”

Like any couple that had withstand the test of time, the phone may have earned some cracks, dents, or even responses slowly (because you know, new firmware updates can be quite hardware demanding) yet still, these owners love the phone all the same. Not to mention the troubles of limited storage capacities that some phone comes with. But lucky for us, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will have no problems with their expandable storage that allows up to 256GB additional memory with microSD card, so you can store all your photos, music, and media just by swapping these bad boys around.

While there may be times that the temptation of wanting to move on to a new phone for better performance, or even for a better look arise, they still stick with what they have for the comfort and familiarity their existing phone have been providing.

7. Non-existent

And then there’s this. Needless to say, a smartphone is now an essential device these days; but strangely, not to these peeps. You often wondered how they could even function or if they have a device due to their lack of responsiveness in responding to text and calls.

Regardless, we think your relationship with your phone is sacred, and distinct. So keep that going!
