As the first line of defense to any situation that involves a health crisis at large, doctors and nurses make the biggest sacrifices to ensure that the lives of the population are kept safe.

From nurses shaving their heads bald so that they can avoid the hassle of stray hairs while treating patients to doctors sleeping on floors, there’s nothing they won’t do to ensure that a crisis like the Wuhan outbreak can be stopped in its tracks.

However, some of these medical personnel may have had to pay the highest price in saving the lives of others, as the New York Post reports that a doctor has lost his life in the line of duty while treating patients who had contracted the Wuhan virus.
