Senior citizens who have not received a vaccination appointment or have not registered via the MySejahtera application are allowed to walk into any PPV in the Klang Valley to get vaccinated starting today (17 July 2021). Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin shared the good news through the Covid-19 Immunization Program Development Media Conference held yesterday.

Senior Citizens Walk In Vaccination

However, senior citizens who have already received their appointment are reminded to adhere to the date and time given to them.

Moreover, all adult populations in the Klang Valley will receive the first dose of the vaccine by August 1, 2021. Khairy mentioned that through the newly announced ‘Operation Surge Capacity’ in KL and Selangor, all adult residents in both states will receive their first dose by 1st August. He also explained that with increased supply and capacity, this target can be achieved if both states can administer a total of 272,000 doses per day from 26th July to 1st August.

So if you know a senior citizen who is yet to receive their appointment dates, share with them this exciting news! If you are an adult living in Klang Valley and you are yet to get your first dose, keep yourself updated through the MySejahtera app.
