4-Month-Old Baby Dies At Babysitter’s House In Putrajaya After Contracting Fever & Cold

Last Friday, 8 January, a four-month-old baby boy died at his babysitter’s house in Precinct 9, Putrajaya.

According to Bernama, the deceased’s 48-year-old babysitter said that the baby was having a fever with a cold when he was sent to her, as recorded by Putrajaya district police chief ACP Mohd Fadzil Ali.

“When the baby did not respond after she tried to wake him up, the babysitter contacted his mother and the hospital,” he said.

He also added on to say that the woman had been taking care of the child for about two weeks.

Mohd Fadzil said the baby’s body was later taken to the Putrajaya Hospital for post mortem as well as a Covid-19 test. The results of the Covid-19 test came back as negative.

For now, according to Mohd Fadzil, the case has been classified as sudden death.

However, he urged those with any information that is related to the case, to contact the Kuala Lumpur Police hotline at 03-2115 9999 or head over to a nearby police station.
