4 Armed Thieves Terrify Kajang Mall Shoppers as They Rob a Jewellery Store

Chaos erupted at a shopping mall in Kajang, Selangor, after 4 armed and masked men decided to rob a jewellery store.

In videos circulating online, mall patrons could be seen running and seeking shelter from the robbers.

According to a statement by the Kajang district Deputy Police Chief Superintendent Mohamad Nazir Drahman, the suspects, who were dressed to look like security personnel, conducted the robbery at around 3:17pm yesterday (June 17).

The robbers entered the store located on the first floor of the shopping mall and proceeded to break the glass casings containing the jewellery with a hammer before grabbing whatever they can.

“During the incident, the suspects are believed to have carried 2 pistols and a rifle, and had fired a shot at the wall of the premises before escaping through the parking lot underneath the building,”

“The total loss is still under investigation and cannot be confirmed yet,” he said.

 

He went on to urge anyone with information in regards to this incident to come forward by contacting this case’s investigating officer, ASP Mohd Farhan Bin Mohd Nor at 012-2446768.
