Imagine never seeing your partner’s face without make-up on even after dating for A WHILE.

That’s what apparently shocked a 30-year-old man from China, causing him to want to divorce his newly-wedded wife.

According to a report by Detik, the man, named Cao, had been married only for hours, after he allegedly felt cheated upon seeing his wife’s natural face without make-up on.

Despite having quite the age gap, with Cao being 30-years-old and his wife, Trang, being 47-years-old, he wanted to have a relationship with her as he believed she was beautiful, loving, confident and mature, and because they came from a similar enough background. Moreover, she wore her make-up well and donned fashionable clothing.

After dating for a while, he proposed to her and they had a small wedding ceremony at home.

While they had not yet registered their marriage, their loved ones considered them husband and wife at that point.

On their first night together as a married couple, Cao was said to be happy up until the point where he saw Trang removing her make-up. He was so surprised to see what Trang really looked like without make-up as since they had met, Trang had always done up her face and dressed immaculately.

He apparently immediately asked for a divorce and attempted to chase Trang out of their home.

After trying to talk him out of his harsh actions, Trang then gave Cao 2 options

The first would be that they register their marriage officially and continue to live together or the duo would have a divorce but Cao would have to compensate Trang by providing her with 200,000 yuan (RM127,946).

Feeling like the options provided didn’t make sense, Cao has since sought legal assistance and has yet to make his decision on the matter.

What do you think he should do? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
