Ever cheated death before? Well, this girl in China can certainly say that she has cheated death in the most incredible way!

Shanghaiist reported that a two-year-old girl plummeted from the 17th floor of an apartment and walked away just fine (without noticeable external injuries) after the fall. Whoa!

The toddler known as Yueyue, lives with her family in an apartment in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, China. On the day (11 July 2018) of her fall, Yueyue was left alone in the apartment by the grandma who went out to buy some groceries.

After a while, the girl woke up and crawled around the apartment searching for her grandmother but, much to her dismay, her grandma was nowhere in sight. Then, she climbed onto a computer desk to look out the window, which was unlocked, and unexpectedly fell from the 17th floor. OMG!

The report revealed that luckily, her seemingly fatal fall was broken by tree branches and she landed on a soft patch of grass that had soil softened by a recent downpour which helped to reduce the impact of her fall.

After the shocking fall, Yueyue miraculously stood up and walked back into the building while crying for her grandma. Fortunately, the grandma came back in time when the neighbours were comforting the child and rang up the girl’s parents after learning that her granddaughter had just plunged down from the 17th floor.

They rushed Yueyue to the hospital to run a thorough check-up on her and she was treated for liver contusion and a minor rib fracture, as a result of her fall.

The doctors were quoted as saying,

“We expected her injuries to be severe, but her vitals were stable when she came in. She didn’t look like she had fallen down 17 stories.”

Wow!

It’s great that the girl survived a fatal fall and her minor internal injuries have been taken care of. Hopefully, the family will be extra careful with the girl the next time because you won’t always be that lucky.
