Admit it. Sometimes, work is just too tough and we’re not just talking about the physical exhaust but the mental fatigue too. If you have the tendency of submitting fake MC to take the day off, this is probably for you.

If you think we’re guiding you on effective ways to get a fake MC, well, that’s not exactly what we have on our mind. Instead of telling you how, we’re gonna show you the consequences of submitting a fake MC, and if you happen to have a strict and by-the-book employer, keep reading.

A woman who works in well-known lingerie boutique in KL was fined RM700 by the court yesterday (August 4) for producing fake MC to her employers. She pleaded guilty at the court for submitting a fake MC to her employers as reported by 8TV News.

The defendant is only 24 years old.

She was charged under Section 471 of the Penal Code (forgery of documents) and can be convicted under Section 465 of the Penal Code (forgery penalty). The maximum penalty is 2 years of prison or a fine, or both.

Her lawyer assured the court that the action was deeply regretted and sought a lighter sentence from the court, because her father has passed away and she has to take care of her mother alone. The deputy public prosecutor, on the other hand, asked the court that the sentence must serve as a warning.

The court ruled that the defendant must pay the penalty of RM700, and failure to do so will result in a 2-week jail term.

1 fake document, and everything came down to this.
