It’s almost everyone’s dream to travel the world, but financial constraints and time have always been the major issues. However, two best friends defied all odds and in just 33 days, they have travelled across not one, not two, but 25 European countries!

In her Facebook post, Hirza shared the complete list of European countries that she has visited with her best friend, Fasya, which include France, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Germany, Denmark and more. If you have plans to travel to one of the listed countries but are concerned about the budget, Hirza has included a Google document of the rough budgeting during her travel which you can refer to.

During their travel, both of them spent around RM15,000, respectively. How did the pair manage to fund their trip?

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Hirza said that both of them started to save up for the trip when the pandemic has just struck the world, in the midst of MCO. The trip started on October 7 and ended on 8 November 2022.

The trip was definitely not an overnight plan as Hirza said that it has been planned thoroughly and carefully for 5 months. This is due to the transportation to the other countries which did not only involve airplanes but also trains & buses.

As for countries like France, Italy and Switzerland, both of them stayed for more than two days due to the popularity and the list of places to go. When it comes to Estonia and Latvia, they only stayed there for a day as the distance between the two countries is only 3 hours away.

Hirza also said that the pair was inspired to “launch” the trip after hearing about the interesting facts about European countries, which she wanted to witness with her own eyes.

The trip, however, had a hiccup in the middle when Fasya lost her phone.

“Fasya lost her phone in Milan, Italy, but we managed to trace her phone which was only 4 stations away,” Hirza said.

Hirza also told WORLD OF BUZZ that they did not pursue the thief as they feared for their safety, and also considering that they both were in a foreign land. Both of them later rushed to Switzerland and bought a new phone as a backup.

The lost phone was not only the issue that put a temporary pause to their trip.

On the day when they were supposed to fly to Santorini, the cab driver did not pick them up at 4:30am as scheduled. They had a flight at 6:30am which they missed. Fortunately, the management of the hotel was kind enough to help and they managed to go to Santorini with the newly replaced tickets.

It’s not easy to leave your comfort zone and travel the world, but these two Malaysian ladies have proven that nothing is impossible if you’re keen on it. Have you travelled to any of the countries listed above?
