15 China Tourists in S’pore Thrown Out of Tour Bus For Allegedly Not Buying Souvenirs From the Driver

An incident involving a group of tourists from China in Singapore went viral online recently after a video of the regrettable occurrence was shared on TikTok by @garygaryocp.

As of the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 258,000 times and reposted on many public social media accounts.

In the video, an altercation broke out between the tourist group and the tour bus driver, allegedly caused by the tourists’ refusal to purchase souvenirs from the driver.

Recorded by 1 of the tourists, a shouting match broke out between the group and the driver and afterwards, the group can be seen getting thrown out from the tour bus, leaving them stranded with their luggage by the side of the road.

On the overlaid text of the video, it was alleged that the driver had insulted all the tourists and refused to apologise.

He then threw out all the tourists’ luggage on the ground and simply drove away.

The Singapore Tourism Board has launched an investigation into the incident

According to Shin Min Daily News, there were 15 tourists from China in the tour group and the incident took place at 12pm on 16 August at Race Course Road in Singapore.

The tourists told the publication that the driver had verbally abused them and that 1 of them was even hit by the door for not buying souvenirs sold by the driver.

After the incident, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore received a distress call and picked up the affected tourists from where they were thrown out.

The Singapore Tourism Board has since launched an investigation into the incident.
