10 Roads in KL Closed Today for Fun Run Involving Over 15,000 Participants

If you’re headed to KL today, it’s best to plan your journey in advance.

Ten roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed starting at 3 PM in conjunction with the Malaysia Sarong Music Run 2025.

Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief, Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad, said the event will begin in front of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), Jalan Ampang, at exactly 3 PM. The Fun Run is expected to involve over 15,000 participants, with two main categories: the five-kilometre Malaysia Speed Run and the five-kilometre Fun Run.

“Road closures and diversions will begin at 2:30 PM. Roads will reopen in stages and are expected to be fully accessible by 8 PM,” he said.

The affected routes include:

  • Jalan P. Ramlee,
  • Jalan Ampang,
  • Jalan Pinang,
  • Jalan Kia Peng,
  • Jalan Stonor,
  • Jalan Conlay,
  • Jalan Raja Chulan,
  • Jalan Bukit Bintang.

Additionally, Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Ampang (from Jalan Tun Razak towards KLCC / from the Malaysian Rubber Board towards Jalan Tun Razak) will also be affected.

Datuk Mohamed Usuf advised the public not to park in prohibited areas or locations that may obstruct traffic.
